“We are continually serving more members, thus, this move to a more accessible and bigger location,” Lourdes F. Diocson, PhilHealth regional vice-president for Western Visayas, said.
The PhilHealth’s satellite office in Guimaras accommodates daily more than 100 walk-in clients with concerns on membership, collection and claims inquiry.
Diocson said that the new office space is wider, well-ventilated and has a suitable working area. It is now at the lower ground floor of the multi-purpose cooperative building of the provincial capitol in San Miguel, Jordan.

One of the noble activities of the satellite office is the PhilHealth RIDES (Responsive Information Dissemination and Education Service) launched two years ago where employees of the corporation put to good use their biking skills to reach remote areas in the island to orient members on their benefits, update their profile and at the same time, enroll new members to PhilHealth.
“Our dedicated men and women use their love for biking to bring PhilHealth closer to our members especially those living in far-flung areas,” Diocson said.
Since its inception in 2014, the PhilHealth RIDES team has visited nine barangays in the province catering to more than 14,000 members. [via PNA]
